Description
9 hole course
Our current 6 hole course will increase to 9 holes on October 1st 2008. All holes are typical par 3 or par 4 length and the tricky plateau greens are all well protected with water or bunkers. Many tee options are also available so hole lengths can be varied from day to day. The outstanding feature of the 9 hole course is its fantastic condition, the greens, fairways and general tidiness are a credit to the hardworking green staff.
18 hole course
Our 18 hole course is currently under construction and is set amongst the rolling hillside leading down to the bay at Playitas. Created by a Scottish design company Playitas golf looks to be a real asset to the Island and combined with our Academy course and state of art golf school where better to spend those dreary winter months than with us here in the sun! The undulating and very scenic par 70 course will be a tough challenge especially on breezy days, but with the protection of the surrounding hills Playitas golfers won’t suffer from any extreme weather conditions.
Playitas Golf Academy
Our newly opened golf academy is Playitas first big step in becoming a seriously recognised top golf resort. With our large 2 sided driving range and first class short game and putting facilities combined with a beautiful conditioned 6 hole academy course Playitas Is a great destination to learn and enjoy the wonderful game of golf.
Our team, headed by fully qualified British PGA professional Murdo McCorquodale are on hand to provide lessons and advise to golfers of all levels in English, Spanish or German.
Our 12 month season makes the canary Islands the ideal location to enjoy playing and improving your golf, there are 3 other 18 hole courses within a 30 minute drive of Playitas so Fuerteventura is now firmly on the ‘golf holiday’ destination schedule.
Practise facilities
As well as the golf academy and 9 hole course Playitas offers the more serious golfers a great base to hit balls and work seriously on improving the most important aspect of golf – the short game.
Our double sided driving range allows players to practise against the breeze (recommended) or with the wind behind, we also have a superb short game area and a green surrounded by bunkers as well as a further USGA specified putting green to work on what we all know is ‘the most decisive element’ of the game of golf.
